O’FALLON, IL (KTVI)-Police across the St. Louis metro area are investigating a rash of fast food restaurant robberies. On Tuesday morning, an armed woman robbed a Hardees restaurant in O’Fallon, IL. She cleaned out all the cash registers in five minutes. They don’t have a good description of the woman because she was wearing a scarf that covered her face.
O’Fallon Police Detective Lt. Mick Hunter said, “It’s very odd for us to have a female commit a crime such as an armed robbery. That was the first time in 25 years where a female had done an armed robbery.”
A few hours later, a Jack in the Box in South St. Louis was robbed by two armed men. And, police are trying to find the person who smashed the front door of a Subway also in south St. Louis overnight.
Last week, a man held up a White Castle in north St. Louis. He was armed with a rifle. Just days before, a south St. Louis White Castle was hit.
