Two men were charged in connection with a robbery at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Belleville.
Authorities say the manager reported after closing and locking the store located at 4914 W. Main St., he completed paperwork for the night deposit and proceeded to his car parked at the rear of the store.
Upon reaching his car he was approached by two suspects, one with a black handgun.
Both suspects demanded money. The suspect with the gun pistol whipped the victim, prior to both suspects beating the victim as he laid on the ground.
The night deposit was taken. Both suspects fled behind the store towards W. Washington.
Daniel D. Fisher was charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of Stolen Firearm, and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bail was set at $5000,000 and $75,000.
Kendrez Murphy was charged with Armed Robbery. Bail was set at $500,000.
